A nurse on the pediatric ward, before listening to the little ones chests, would plug the stethoscope into their ears and let them listen to their own hearts. Their eyes would always light up with awe, but she never got a response equal to four-year old David's comment.
Gently she tucked the stethoscope into his ears and placed the disk over his heart. "Listen", she said..........."What do you suppose that is?"

He drew his eyebrows together in a puzzled line and looked up as if lost in the mystery of the strange tap - tap - tapping deep in his chest. Then his face broke out in a wondrous grin and he asked, "Is that Jesus knocking?"

I hope that little story will encourage every Nursery worker, Sunday School and Children's Church / Ministry teacher as they prepare for imparting truth to little ones again this Sunday. What a wonderful privilege you have!

It all begins this Sunday in many of our churches, for us it is at 9:30 AM for our classes for all children, teens, and adults. Our Adult Bible Fellowships will finish up their current studies this Sunday and then begin a new season next Sunday by offering 3 ABF's in addition to our Membership Class. Plan to attend one.

At our 10:45 AM worship service we will plan to wrap up our study about "Our Divine Navigation System" by seeing how God's Will and our Circumstances line up. Jonah 4 will be our passage of study, and though it may be familiar to you, read it over again in preparation.

In our 6:00 PM service our Adults will continue their study in "Our Heavenly Rewards." (2 Corinthians 5:10) This will hopefully give us motivation to live for the Lord more deeply while we can. Our Student / Teen group will meet with adults since most of them will be getting back from a weekend retreat at Skyview Ranch about 2:00 PM on Sunday afternoon. Parents, please be on time to pick them up. Our AWANA children will have one more chance to give in the special offering for our AWANA state missionaries as well as revel in the results of the Grand Prix. Remember that the Grand Prix will take place on Saturday all day.

Looking ahead, on Sunday March 2 in the evening service we will participate in our monthly Communion service. We will also begin receiving our annual Easter Offering, which this year will go toward a fund to replace the old windows in our original building. Approximate estimates are around $20,000 so you can see we have a lot to do. Pray that God will meet this need in a great way soon.
Don't forget that our Ohio Primary Election Day is Tuesday, March 4. We hope to again offer our special breads, etc. for those who come to vote. Please see Beth Workman if you can provide bread or cans of coffee. This ministry has had a very positive effect on our community and our church, thanks for being part of it.

The winter storm on Friday knocked out the plans Beth and I had to run out to BBC for the final two regular season games, both significant to the final standings in the conference. Might be just as well for me as I have had a tremendously uncomfortable stiff neck and shoulder muscles that I cannot shake. The heating pad on "high" right now helps, but not cures it. I'd appreciate your prayers.

What do you think about the Cleveland Cavs blockbuster trade one minute before the deadline yesterday?? I didn't hear you say, "What??" did I? My reaction has been the same as all the sports talk show pundits, in that we don't quite know what to think. But I am guardedly optomistic about it all. You can read all about it at: http://www.cavs.com/
And how about the Cleveland Browns signing running back Jamal Lewis to a new contract? Yes, it seems to have been a good day for Cleveland sports. Now if the Indians can just sign C. C.

By the way, are you on "Facebook"? Again, if you said, "What??" then you aren't. But if so (or if you would like to join it), look me up, "friend request" me and Ron Hazlett, and then let's start our own Faith Baptist group. It offers one more way for us all to stay in touch. (click on the blue "f" above to go to Facebook.com)

The best way to stay in touch is to attend our services this Sunday. Most of all, stay in touch with the Lord leading up to Sunday and you will get more from it. Thanks for your prayers for our services that God would be glorified and some would trust Christ as Savior - one man did just that last Sunday! I have met with him a couple of times already and he is an encouragement to me to see his enthusiasm for Christ. Pray for more like him in all our churches this Sunday.

Here is Nicholas trying out a basketball headband. He didn't seem to mind it.
